Time seemed to go by so quickly in 2019. At the beginning of the year I made a list of things that I wanted to do and many are still not completed. I am looking forward to 2020 to have new experiences and enjoy life.
The year in review in photos.

Impressionism in the age of industry
The Toronto Raptors won the NBA championship in 2019. The playoffs were an exciting time in Toronto. You could feel the electricity in the air. On the day of the parade I had no idea how many people were going to show up. I had to go to work that day. My office was near the parade route. People were already showing up at 8:30am in the morning. The parade was behind schedule because so many people were on the parade route. The buses could not move. It was total chaos. I tried to get a glimpse of the parade, but they were so behind schedule I went back to the office.
Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF)
I honestly cannot remember the films that I saw at TIFF last year. I only remember the film that I was not able to get tickets to. That was Parasite. Tickets were sold out when I had my redemption window. I really wanted to see the film, but I do not do rush tickets. New times were made available but at 9:30pm at night. TIFF is the only time of the year that I take a week off so I am very tired. As soon as the lights go down my eyes start to close. There was no way that I would be able to watch a film starting at 9:30pm for two hours. I would see it eventually.
Luckily the film was showing at the TIFF Bell Lightbox in October. All I can say is wow. When I left the theater I knew that I wanted to see it again.

The art of making memories
As a Toronto Life Insider I have the opportunity to go to various events in the city. Last October I attended an evening with Meik Wiking presented by Penguin Canada and Toronto Life. I plan to use the book as a guidebook for the new year.
My goal is to devote more time to updating my blog and taking more pictures in 2020.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
